Egg-citing news this morning!!
When Mr New arrived to open up the school this morning he saw 4 chicks that had hatched out over night and one was almost hatched as all the staff arrived. So by the time the children came in, we had 5 chicks. It takes 24 hours for them to dry out before they can be moved into the brooding box.
They are all very wobbly and go from moving about to just stopping and having a snooze! Then all of a sudden they will get up again.
By the end of the day they were looking much stronger & fluffy!
There was a lot of this too...
